RAW feeding is something we do allmost every day. We normally feed RAW to each adult dog every morning then they have kibble down for snacking all day long, they eat a good RAW mixture often made by us which is complete with vitamins and fruits and veggies etc. We also make up a RAW meal with just say 10 pounds of chicken (cut up real good, but no to small) add to that 7 pounds of ground Chicken backs and a couple pounds of Chicken hearts/livers etc. We mix it all together real good and put it in 2 pound chubs and freeze at least 3 days before using (freezing is suppose to help with bacteria) we been freezing the mix for so long its just something we do now. Also in the mix before bagging and freezing we mix in a couple handfuls of italian bread crumbs (it makes it smell great when you open it to feed.
We also do the same basic mix with Beef/Hamburg-Pork-Venetian-turkey or about all kinds of meat. You can also mix meats together as we do (dogs seem to love it), you can use Livers/Hearts of any of the above meats in any mix. If you want Veggies or Fruits in the mix just put it in the blender or cut up really good, check to make sure what ever you use is safe for dogs, lots of info on the net.
We feed Chicken legs-breasts what ever parts with bone and all but thats up to you as some folks dont want to give there dogs bones, if you do watch your dog as some try to guzzle & swallow every thing so please watch your dogs when feeding bone in chicken, (REMEMBER NEVER GIVE YOUR DOGS COOKED CHICKEN BONES) or puppies before 4 months old.
Always make sure they have plenty of fresh water, especially puppies.
BEEF..10 Pounds of Hamburg/Beef, 1 Pound of Beef liver, 1 Pound Beef Hearts (chopped up good), 8 Eggs, Shells and all (put whole eggs shells & all in a blender and blend until a liquid), Vegetables & Fruits (chopped fine) Carrots Sweet Potatoes, greens, apples etc (in this mix we use about 3/4-1 pound of mixed Veggies & Fruits. Probiotics about 8 capsules emptied into the mix, Human Grade Bone meal, about 3 tablespoon fulls in the mix (powder).we also add Cottage Cheese, 1 16 oz container. *This can also be as simple as 10 pounds hamburg/beef and 1 pound of beef liver & 1 pound of beef heart cut up good (mix well).*
Also you can use CHICKEN, PORK, TURKEY liver/hearts in your mix or keep it pure, Beef,Chicken,Pork etc. REMEMBER TO ALLWAYS 'FREEZE' YOUR RAW MIX FOR AT LEAST 3 DAYS BEFORE SERVING, try to serve at room temperature.

There are many types of kibble available. From very good to very CHEAP.
below are a few better quality dry foods, but some what expensive. If your feeding more then one dog it can get very expensive quick. We feed Raw every morning then we put down kibble (PREMIUM EDGE) Sin/Coat Salmon flavor, the dogs all love it and its within our price range, more so then the listed dry foods pictured on this page.
The average price of a decent kibble is $1.30 a pound or above, as high as $2.00 plus a pound. We use Premium Edge as i say and were happy with it it, we pay about $39.00 for 35 pounds. We also feed raw every morning and if you buy in bulk and mix your own you can make raw for about the same price under $1.50 a pound. There is a page that you put the name of the dog food in and it tells you about the product including the average price and the ingredients, check your product out you feed now.
